Although this stuff calls itself "Turkish Delight" I should point out that I didn't actually get it in Turkey. I bought this particular box on the northern side of Cyprus. I'm not sure if this makes any difference because they might simply import it over from Turkey and not make it on the island. According to the package the company is based in Istanbul, but who knows.

As I've mentioned in other reviews, articles, and blog postings, Turkish delight is truly a candy experience that I recommend for anybody with a sweet tooth to experience. It's not slimy, and it's not too chewy, it's the most unique texture anywhere in the candy world. I've compared it to gummies in the past, but I'm not convinced that gives it any justice. In this particular case the smooth chewy texture is accented by the nice soft crunch of pistachios.

Best of all the pistachio flavour is spread throughout the entire cube. This treat has convinced me that not only is "delight" a wonderful texture, but it's also a great way to deliver flavours. I say this because pistachio is a really subtle flavoured nut (particularly without the salt) yet this chewy cube accents the flavour so well. It's as if the flavour is enhanced throughout and the nutty texture only helps it along.

These pistachio Turkish Delight cubes are truly a tasty treat. This might be the best way to enjoy pistachio in any candy form.
