Yes, they’ve finally done it, and boy is it strong. Many years back when Candy Critic was at its infancy, I found a treat called "Oh Cool", this treat was a fruity gummy that let out a burst of cool menthol. I can’t say that I really enjoyed the feeling of a cool gummy that much, however it was so different that it appealed to me. Needless to say, I haven’t been able to find them again since, and I’ve been keeping an eye open.

Finally, the folks that brought you Sour Patch Kids have discovered this fun idea and brought it back to my pallet. Best of all the menthol in these gummies is pretty powerful. With just one sour patch kid I had an awesome cool feeling all over my mouth. It’s like eating a mint treat without the mint flavour. It’s really strange but also really neat.

The fruit flavours themselves are pretty standard for Sour Patch Kids and eventually the cool feeling killed off the sour. What was really great was to have sour, sweet and cool all in one mouthful even if just for a few seconds. Best to say that many people might not understand the thrill of eating these, but for any candy aficionados out there it’s well worth trying.
