I think lemon might be the easiest flavour to make into a gummy. I don't say this because I have any experience in making lemon gummies. I say this because I've tasted a few lemon gummies in my time, and most of them are pretty good. This gummy is no exception either.

The thing that I think makes lemon an easy flavour is the sour factor. Gummies work really well when they're sour, and lemon is probably the most universally accepted flavour to accompany sour. I'm sure some of you are screaming "sour apple", but you would be wrong. No one wants to actually eat a sour apple, you bake them into pies, or throw them at your friend when you’re a stupid teenager. Sour lemons on the other hand are pretty much all you've got. Often one of the key ingredients in sour candies is actually made from citric acid. Do you know where citric acid comes from?

Needless to say, these are some very tasty sour lemon gummies. They're nice because the lemon flavour works well with the sourness. The gummy is nice and soft as well, so your jaw won't be killing you halfway through the bag. Best of all the sour is certainly present, but it's not going to blow your socks off. It's not a sour designed to challenge you, it's a sour designed to work with this pleasant lemon flavour of this gummy.
