I’ll try and keep my main complaint about this candy short, but it is a little weird. Simply put, my main complaint about this gummy candy is that it does not taste like macaroni and cheese. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I would actually enjoy eating macaroni and cheese flavoured gummies, at least more than once. I feel like the people at Frankford decided to play it safe and even though their candy looks like macaroni and cheese and is packaged to look like macaroni and cheese, they decided that they should give this a fruity flavour instead. I get it, but I still would have liked to try a candy that was macaroni and cheese flavoured, maybe it might have worked, maybe it might have ushered in a new world of savoury gummies, at the very least it might have been shocking enough to create a really trendy candy for a while.

As I see it now, a few people might get suckered into this candy and think they’re getting something really weird. Then they’ll eat a few of the gummies and be like “hmmm, fruity”. They will likely not dare their friends to eat it, or even write anything about it on the internet because other than the package it’s not really anything that special.

It’s not to say that they’re bad gummies, the texture was fine and the fruity flavour was okay too. I couldn’t really figure out exactly what flavour they were supposed to be. I was expecting orange flavour because they were orange, but these are definitely not any kind of orange flavour at all. After eating a few I thought I tasted a little coconut, so maybe these are more of a tropical fruit punch flavour, but it’s really hard to tell.

I certainly wouldn’t tell anyone to avoid these gummies, but I don’t think they’re worth searching out or paying a premium for them. They’re just gummies that are kind of shaped like macaroni that taste like some kind of mysterious fruit combination.
