If you think that these cups are a carbon copy of Reece Peanut Butter Cups, only made with more natural ingredients, then you're going to be disappointed. I didn't even have a Reece’s cup around to compare with these and I can assure you that these are not the same. Other than the size of the cups and the fact that they're filled with peanut butter, these cups are nothing like Reece cups. Having said all that, these cups aren't worse than Reece's cups either.
The biggest physical difference I noticed was the chocolate to peanut butter ratio. Unreal cups seem to have a bit more chocolate when compared to Reece cups. This was really the minor difference; the big difference was the taste. On first bite the biggest difference you'll taste is that Unreal cups aren't nearly as sweet as Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. Because of this, I find that the peanut butter flavour is much stronger, and even the cocoa flavour sticks out more. If you're a fan of peanut butter and you find that Reece’s cups are way too sweet, this could be the perfect treat for you.
I imagine that the extra chocolate is there to balance the unsweetened peanut butter, and I think it works. In fact, as a snack on its own these cups are really tasty. They're really is no comparison to Reece's peanut butter cups, but that's not really an issue. These cups are perfect for anybody who really likes the flavour of peanut butter. It also appeals to people who prefer their treats a little less sweet.
