Why in the world would you give a chocolate treat, a fish theme? This just makes no sense at all. Fish are smelly, live underwater, and freak me out. These chocolate filled treats are tasty and crunchy and don’t freak me out at all. I just don’t understand why you’d want to fill someone’s mind up with the concept of stinky, slimy fish, and give them a chocolate crunchy cookie. While this isn’t the only fish themed treat I’ve tasted in my life, it really made me think about this strange combination that appears many times in the candy world.
First of all, I’m just glad that there’s nothing fishy about these at all. The chocolate is of decent quality and just the right amount. The cookie coating, although crunchy, seems to have an odd taste. This strange flavour could be one of two things. Sometimes when you have cracker type treats with chocolate, they actually use a cheese flavored cracker, and for the most part this odd flavour combination works, maybe this time it just didn't. It could also be that these crackers are overbaked, it could be some kind of strange burnt flavour.
I'm just not sure what it is but the cracker part of this treat has an odd taste, having said that it's not so bad and the chocolate filling makes these well worth a try.
