There are many good things about these chocolate frogs. Just about every single great thing about this particular variety of chocolate frogs could also be said about the regular Freddo frog chocolates. The chocolate is smooth and delicious, and I love the fact that each and every Freddo “Milk Top” that I ate was in a unique shape. All of the shapes where frogs, but each and every one of them was doing some different activity. If you ate only these chocolates, you would not be disappointed at all, however, if you’ve had the regular Freddo frog chocolates, you might be a little disappointed (but only a little).

The only difference between the regular Freddo frog chocolates and these are the fact that the heads of these frogs are made of white chocolate, instead of the entire treat being made of milk chocolate. The white chocolate, like the milk chocolate is smooth and delicious. The problems aren’t really that serious, but since this is a website dedicated to reviewing candies, I feel like I should point them out.

The first thing I noticed is the fact that in every case the top of the chocolate is the white chocolate. This gives the frogs really white heads, and brown bodies. I know this is an aesthetic problem, but for me it just looks a little weird. The second problem however is a little more important. For the most part the white chocolate is totally useless. If you pop the entire frog in your mouth, or eat the white half last, you will not really taste the white chocolate at all. The milk chocolate really dominates this treat entirely unless you carefully bite the white portion first and really try and compare the two. This doesn’t make this treat bad by any means, but it does make it a little pointless when compared to the regular Freddo chocolates.

You will not be disappointed with these chocolates. You will eat them, and if you like nice quality mass produced milk chocolate you will enjoy them a great deal. If you can’t find these, but you can find the regular Freddo frog chocolates, you’re not really missing anything except some creepy white frog heads.
