Who knew that Tootsie rolls came in more than just chocolate flavour. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, but really the only way I'll know for sure is to hunker down and just eat them. Seeing as they come in five different flavours, other than chocolate, why not review them individually.
Orange - I figure I'd start with orange because really, it's one of the misunderstood flavours in the candy world. Nobody thinks that orange is the best flavour, but not too many people hate orange either, it's the middle of the road flavour. These orange chews aren't bad, kind of tangy and tasty enough. I can't place weather or not the flavour is synthetic or not, but that doesn't matter really because orange, fake or real, is still OK
Lime - I love the fact that they have both a lemon and a lime flavoured treat in this mix. I'm sick of people that think that they're the same, because they're not. This lime treat's not bad, like the orange it's a bit tart, and zesty too.
Lemon - I sure hope this doesn't taste the same as the lime. There is success on that front, but to be honest the lemon flavour is a little too subtle for me. I guess the fact that it's not as strong as the lime is a good indication that they know the difference between the two fruits, limes being a lot stronger than lemons most of the time. The problem is that the basic taffy flavour overpowers the lemon flavour a little bit, and that's disappointing
Vanilla - I don't really understand this, it's supposed to be fruit rolls and they have vanilla. Well it tastes like vanilla, so that's good, but I think this would go better with a chocolate mix rather than all these fruity combinations. I guess the argument could be that vanilla is a bean?
Cherry - Yummy, this has to be the best of the bunch. It's a little sour, just like real cherries. It's a pretty fake cherry flavour, but I don't mind since I don't mind fake cherry in the least.
