Maoam

Haribo

I'm having a hard time writing this review right now. I'm trying to figure out what words to use to describe the package of this treat. Strange, smart, sexy? I think all of those words fit, but I'm not sure which fits better. Strange and sexy are fairly obvious, I mean this green fruit thing and this lemon look like they're up to some shenanigans. The word “smart” doesn't really come from the package, the word “smart” comes from the name "Maoam". Not only is it really fun to try and say, but it's a palindrome, and I love palindromes.

The treat itself isn't really strange, smart, or sexy. It's simple, and tasty. In each box you get 4 or 5 lemon chewy cubes that are just a little sour. I think it’s important that lemon treats have a bit of sour, if not it’s just not really that lemon like. The texture is perfect, chewy enough to give you a little work on the jaw, but not so chewy that your jaw hurts afterward. The lemon is a little fake in the flavour, but still tasty, like a good powdered lemonade.

The thing that still boggles me however is that green thing on the package. I didn't taste any oversexed green fruit in the cubes, only lemon. So, what is this other fruit, or is it even a fruit at all.
