I'm not sure why they call this a Gold Brick Egg. After all bricks are most often square, so the idea of having the word “brick” together with the word “egg” seems kind of silly. It could be that the people at Elmer’s are referring to the kind of “gold brick” you might call people who don't work much when they're supposed to. Maybe it's saying that this treat is designed for people that should be working but would rather eat a chocolate Easter egg.
After one bite of this egg I'm thinking I'd rather be working. Funny thing is since I review candy, eating this egg is kind of like working for me. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not that great. It's basically filled with a dull flavourless chocolate type centre that is slightly different in texture and flavour from the outside chocolate. It also appears to have walnuts scattered in it, but it took me two bites to get to one. Not only that but the walnuts pretty much had zero flavour at all. They say that the outside is "dark chocolate" but I really don't taste it.
It seems that the stuff in the middle overpowers everything even though it's not very tasty at all. It's a strange thing to eat, and not very pleasant.
