The description of this treat is a bit of a mouthful, “centre filled chocolate chewy candy”. The candy itself is less of a mouthful, in fact it’s fairly small. I can’t say I’m disappointed about the size however since if it was any bigger I’m pretty sure I would have broken all of my teeth. In the description it says it’s “chewy” but I don’t know if that’s a good description. I would describe the texture as being like a really dense hard candy that had sat on a shelf for way too long and become slightly soft. So it was a little chew, but it was also kind of hard and really dense.

The chocolate flavour was okay. I had a few of these so I bit into one to get a better look at the chocolate centre, and while it was there, it wasn’t very effective. It was way too small to even get an idea if the texture was any different than the insanely hard outside. It also didn’t do much for the flavour either. I feel like the chocolate flavour was mostly coming from the dense outer milk chocolate flavoured layer of what I can only call taffy, but I feel like that’s a misnomer.

This Belo tastes like chocolate, but it’s kind of a fake chocolate. There is some kind of filling in the middle that seems darker in colour than the rest of the treat, but I can’t actually prove if it’s real chocolate. The texture is very difficult to get through, I mean the kind of difficult that could lead to an emergency dentist appointment.
