I should start off this review with the following warning, so don't go telling me that you aren't expecting this. Here goes... If you haven't already read my regular Almond Joy review, then you probably don't know that I'm not a big fan of them. You see, sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. That has little to do with what I'm saying - I just thought I’d be clever. Honestly, I just don't really like coconut that much. If I had to choose between Almond Joy and Mounds, sure I'd go with Almond Joy. Having said that, if I had a choice between Almond Joy and broccoli, broccoli would win hands down. Why I've decided to do another Almond Joy review I'm not sure, but I'm already halfway through the review so I might as well finish it.
I have to say I actually like this bar a little more. Only a little, though. The dark chocolate flavour seems to mask the super sweet coconut a bit more than the regular milk chocolate, and that makes this bar a little more tolerable. What I can't understand is why the coconut is now brown, and possibly chocolate-flavoured. Doesn't that take away from those who do like coconut and the original bar? I think just making it with dark chocolate would have been enough, but what do I know? I'm not a big fan of either of these bars. This bar didn't change me, but the chocolate seems OK and the almonds are always fine.
