The package claims that these are “Rich chocolate for chocolate lovers”, but I’m not sure that’s true. From a design perspective, I really appreciate the idea of selling milk chocolate in small, easy to eat packages. Most of the time milk chocolate comes in either bar form, boxes or wrapped in foil. These are similar to the foil wrapper, but even easier to open. It’s not that this is the first time I’ve ever seen this kind of wrapper, I just wanted to write something positive about this treat to start.

As far as being a treat for “chocolate lovers”, I would give these a hard no. The cocoa flavour is weak and kind of musty. The texture is gritty and crumbly and only melts at the last few moments in your mouth. I would rate this chocolate middle to low grade, not something that chocolate lovers would totally enjoy. Honestly though I don’t think anyone buying this fairly inexpensive chocolate would expect the quality of chocolate that’s advertised on the package.

If you’re kind of desperate for a taste of chocolate, these will do, but they’re really not that great. They’re not so horrible that I can’t finish the bag, but these are available in larger bags and I think it would be too much. I can’t really recommend these to any chocolate lovers out there.
